Heavenly Lake and Urumqi
We have been unable to get the Internet over the last few days. We will be posting the last 5 days of entries at the same time. Please simply follow the dates on the blogs.
We spent most of today on the bus falling in and out of sleep listening to music. It took us five hours to drive to the Heavenly Lake. It was the first time we felt legitimate breeze that was cool, it seriously was heavenly. It was a completely different part of China and it had a completely different landscape of mountains and beautiful waterways. In a sense it felt very Mediterranean.
It's no wonder that a monastery was built there; the location was quite peaceful. Our tour allowed us the ability to take a boat ride on the lake. There are few words to describe the experience, so we'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. We will say it was magical.
Heavenly Lake:

Yurts, yurts, everywhere a yurt. Where did Ms. Bisconti go? Come back that's not Genghis Khan and you're not Borte.
